Diets low in nutrients can lead to gum diseases and tooth decay.  Dr. James P Gagliardi at Fircrest Dental Arts Center says that consumption of sugar, especially in sticky forms, will look to rapid tooth decay.  Local and bottled water supplies may not provide an adequate supply of fluoride, which helps prevent cavities.  Dr. Gagliardi recommends a balanced diet and good dental hygiene habits to reduce the risk of dental diseases.
